Welcome to Olympic Peninsula Alpaca Rescue

Rescue, Rehabilitate, Rehome Camelids

The mission of Olympic Peninsula Alpaca Rescue (OPAR) is to provide a safe haven, rehabilitation center and rehoming program for camelids while promoting educational and therapy programs targeting youth, disabled and veteran clientele.

To date, we have rescued over 500 total camelids.

OPAR is also the only rescue in the NW region accepting terminally ill or “unadoptable” animals.

During our time at the rescue, we fell in love with these wonderful creatures. Adopting them and watching them thrive as their trust in us grew has been a truly rewarding experience!

Our Rescue In Numbers

An alpaca stands in a grassy field, with its thick, fluffy fur in a range of browns and whites. The background reveals more open grass, a pile of dirt, and a few trees, suggesting a rural or farm setting on a clear day.
